As humans, we are all part of a system that is embedded with systemic injustices. For some this includes racism and bias, both of which can shape the way we treat or mistreat people based on the color of their skin.Becoming anti-racist is a lifelong process. The Pax Christi Racial Equity Committee (PCREC) has gathered the following resources for anyone wishing to educate themselves on how long-standing historical oppression continues to manifest itself today and how we as Catholic Christians can each work to build a more just society. We hope that these resources will be helpful to you as you seek personal transformation regarding your own racial awareness, as well as inspire you to join with others to effect change in policies and structures in our local communities and nation that intentionally or unintentionally disadvantage and oppress our black and brown brothers and sisters.
The Racial Equity Tools Website has created a helpful glossary of terms that will likely come up in the following resources. CLICK HERE to view this as a webpage. It is also available as a PDF - CLICK HERE.
