
Catholic Connections
Middle School, Grades 6-8
Sessions on Sundays from 10:10-11:15 am (Morning Session) or 6:15-7:30 pm (Evening Session)
This year middle school youth registered in Pax Christi Faith Formation will meet in room 131, John XXIII, to learn about their Catholic faith and grow in discipleship while building meaningful relationships with other youth and their adult leaders using the Catholic Connections curriculum through Saint Mary's Press. Middle school youth can expect to learn about the Bible, the Church, prayer, the Saints, Catholic Social Teaching, and more while meeting new people, and reconnecting with old friends. Snacks provided!
Family Support:
Weekly
family reminders will be e-mailed via Flocknote, along with links to
suggested online videos and supplemental curriculum.
Communication:
Flocknote
will be the primary mode of communication for all participants. You
will receive these communications via e-mail. This will be the mode of
communication used to communicate class cancellations, such as weather
related closings, etc.
Formation of Groups:
Groups
will be formed by grade, and group sizes will be based on the number of
available adults serving as small group leaders. Small group leaders
will need to be recruited and trained and will receive a Catholic
Connections leader guide along with on-going weekly support.
Needs:
Adult
leaders (ideally 2 per group). All families that provide a small group
leader or catechist for one of our programs will receive a full tuition
break for the entire family
