We all love a good story, especially when a master storyteller tells it. Jesus was the storyteller of God. Jesus’ whole life was a story. The stories he left behind are called parables. These stories, as contained in the Gospels, have various meanings thrown alongside them. Sometimes Jesus’ stories about God compare God to a woman who searches for a lost coin, or a woman who mixes yeast into dough, or a compassionate Samaritan. Some of Jesus’ parables dealt with prayer persistence, while others described banquets and a prodigal son. This three-evening program will explore the parables presented in three of the four Gospels to show how they can challenge and shape our faith life.
