History of Pax Christi Justice Grants
Since its founding Pax Christi has set aside funds from regular donations to make our contribution to furthering goals of Catholic Social Teaching. Current Pax Christi efforts are focused in the areas of education for people living in poverty and homelessness.
We seek to leverage our contributions by working to develop a relationship with our grants recipients through encouraging members of our community to donate their time and talents as volunteers and supporters to them.
Joining the Justice Grant Board
Pax Christi’s Justice Grant Board is made up of nine Pax Christi community members who serve for a three year term. The board reviews applications and awards significant grants to organizations addressing homelessness and education for people living in poverty. Contact Joan Howe-Pullis, jhowe-pullis@paxchristi.com, for additional information.
Granting Process
Existing grants are reviewed annually and amounts are adjusted based on the need and available parish resources. Possibilities for new grants are also evaluated yearly.
These documents have been updated for the 2023-2024 Granting Year.
