The biblical book of Psalms is the prayer book of the Bible. It consists of one hundred and fifty poem prayers. These include psalms of praise, thanksgiving, and lament. They express the most profound thoughts and feelings of the Psalmist. This three-evening program will explore how to study and pray with the Psalms. Participants will explore the division of the Book of Psalms and Hebrew Poetry and the literary structure of each type of psalm. Suggestions for praying the Psalms will be provided.Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of the Bible for each evening session.
