Lenten and Easter Schedules


As we journey through the season of Lent, preparing our hearts and minds for the celebration of Easter, we extend a warm invitation to all who seek a place of belonging and spiritual renewal.

At Pax Christi, our doors are open wide, welcoming all members, neighbors, and those who may be reconnecting with their faith journey. Whether you've been a part of our community for years or are stepping into a church for the first time in a while, we embrace you with open arms.

As we anticipate the joy of Easter, we invite you to join us in worship, reflection, and fellowship. Together, let us walk this path of spiritual growth, deepening our connections with one another and with the divine.

HOLY THURSDAY

March 28, 7 p.m.

Holy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his apostles, including the institution of the Eucharist and the priesthood. It marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum, a period of solemn reflection leading up to Easter Sunday.

  
 

At Pax Christi, we will celebrate Holy Thursday with an evening Mass of the Lord's Supper at 7 p.m. There will be a livestream option available on our website on the Mass Livestream page.

GOOD FRIDAY

Friday, March 29

Good Friday is a day of solemn remembrance of Jesus Christ's crucifixion and death on the cross, symbolizing the sacrifice for the redemption of humanity's sins. We  contemplate the profound significance of Christ's ultimate act of love.

At Pax Christi, we will celebrate Good Friday with a Scriptural Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m., a 5:30 p.m. liturgy of the Lord's Passion at 5:30 p.m. with a livestream available, and an 8 p.m. Tenebrae Service with livestream available. 

HOLY SATURDAY

Saturday, March 30

The Easter Vigil is a solemn and joyful liturgical celebration held on the evening of Holy Saturday, marking the culmination of the Easter Triduum. It also includes the confirmation of catechumens, welcoming them into full communion with the Church.

     

Before we celebrate the Easter Vigil, there will be a Blessing of the Easter Foods in the Thomas Merton Chapel at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. Pax Christi will celebrate an Easter Vigil Mass at 8 p.m., and a livestream will be available.

EASTER SUNDAY

Sunday, March 31

Easter Sunday is the pinnacle of the liturgical year, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It is a day of joyous festivities, the proclamation of  the Gospel narrative of Christ's resurrection, and the sharing of the Easter message of salvation.

     

At Pax Christi, we will celebrate Easter Sunday with a 9 a.m. Mass and an 11 a.m. Mass. The 9 a.m. Mass will be livestreamed. We wish you all a blessed Easter celebration!
