Our Purpose

The Pax Christi Theology Academy exists to form lay disciples of Christ through a year-long journey of education, spiritual growth, and lived experience. Rooted in the vision of Vatican II and the legacy of Pax Christi Catholic Community, the Academy seeks to deepen faith, build community, and equip participants to live as Missionary Disciples through meaningful leadership and service.

Develop skills and confidence for active roles in guiding parish ministries.

Three-Semester Instruction

Semester I: Discipleship

November 2025 - May 2026

12 Core Classes including Biblical Interpretation, Incarnation & Paschal Mystery, Trinity & Church, Sacramental Vision, and Contemplative Prayer
Focus: Foundation in Catholic theology and spiritual development

Semester II: Encounter

June - August 2026

Encounter Experience: Service outings, retreats, or volunteer work
Optional: Spiritual direction sessions and research paper opportunities
Focus: Living your faith through meaningful engagement

Semester III: Apostleship

September - October 2026

Leadership Training: Christian servant leadership, adaptive leadership, and faithful citizenship
Liturgical Focus: Active participation and ministry involvement
Focus: Preparing for missionary discipleship
