HONORING THE WOMEN MARTYRS OF EL SALVADOR
Join the Mary Magdalene Ministry as we commemorate the 45th anniversary of four women Catholic missionaries martyred in El Salvador on December 2, 1980, with the film Roses in December. Ita Ford, Maura Clarke, Dorothy Kazel, and Jean Donovan were martyred while serving the poor, staying to take care of the children during El Salvador's civil war.
We'll screen an award-winning documentary focusing on Jean Donovan's life through archival footage, interviews, and diary readings, followed by discussion led by parishioner Liz Mach, who served as a Maryknoll Lay Missioner for 44 years and knew Jean personally. Together we'll reflect on what it means to be a Catholic working in God's world today.
Where is the Holy Spirit leading you to help shape the future of the Church.
