The labyrinth is a walking meditation, a path of prayer. It has only one path that leads from the outer edge in a circuitous way to the center. Unlike a maze where you lose your way, the labyrinth is a spiritual tool that can help you find your way. The labyrinth can help you quiet the mind, calm the body, gain insight, and experience a sense of wholeness. Held indoors, walking the 36-foot canvas, Chartres-style labyrinth usually takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on your pace and the number of walkers on the labyrinth. Please come prepared to walk in stocking feet. You are welcome to begin your walk any time between 7:00pm and 8:00pm. Following your walk, you are invited to stay and meditate or journal. The labyrinth will close at 8:30pm. New to the labyrinth? Ask for an introduction when you arrive.
