LITURGICAL MINISTER SCHEDULE
Click on music note to preview selection.
The processional music accompanies the entrance of the presider, any liturgical ministers such as readers or servers, the wedding party, and the bride and groom. One processional song may be more desirable than separate songs for the wedding party, the groom and the bride. If you desire more than one processional song, your parish music director can assist you with choosing a successful combination of pieces. Prior to the processional, prelude music may be played as the guests are being seated.
At the end of the liturgy, music accompanies the exit of the newly married couple, the wedding party, the liturgical ministers, and the guests.

* The composer is erroneously identified as Jeremiah Clarke on the recording. The composer is Henry Purcell.
Couples may choose to select an opening hymn or other song after the procession has reached the front of the church. While not required, it is especially appropriate in situations when families come from two different Christian denominations; a hymn sung by all can be a unifying moment for the assembly.
