with Jessica Intermill on The Doctrine of Discovery
Wednesday, March 29, 7:00-8:30pm, in the Main Worship Space and via Livestream
The Pax Christi Land Acknowledgment Team invites you to join us as
we welcome land history consultant Jessica Intermill for an important
conversation about the Doctrine of Discovery.
In advance of the event, as preparation for our discussion, we ask you to view the documentary
film, The Doctrine of Discovery: Unmasking the Domination Code. The film
is available for download by CLICKING HERE.
Intermill is a land history consultant with over 15 years of experience
as a treaty rights and tribal law attorney. She helps individuals and
organizations look underneath their homes, schools, businesses, and
congregations to understand the circumstances that formed the history of
the land they stand on. As a Strategic Policy Consultant for Minnesota
Interfaith Power and Light, Jessica also works to engage congregations
in the work of reparations and reparatory action. You can learn more
about her work at https://www.intermillconsulting.com.
The event is in-person and via live-stream, free, and open to the public. All are welcome.
