Are you looking for a Companion Minister?Pax Christi has women and men who are Companion Ministers, parishioners who are trained to reach out and provide one-to-one listening and support to those who are experiencing life transition such as separation, divorce, chronic or terminal illness, job transition or loss and death of loved ones. It is the ministry of presence they offer, a journeying with those also on a pilgrimage through life, listening deeply and companioning a person in their faith journey. Are you interested in becoming a Companion Minister?A seven week formation period is provided for all new Companion Ministers. Topics include theology of ministry, prayer and spirituality, grief and loss, and communication. On completion of training, a Background Check and signed Code of Conduct are required as well as commitment to monthly ongoing formational training.
