Treasure
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Moreover God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians, 9:6-8
Why an Annual Renewal?
- An annual renewal gives you the opportunity to pause at least once a year and reflect on your relationship with God, as well as your personal status, and then you adjust your giving and involvement accordingly.
- An annual renewal allows Pax Christi to budget in a responsible manner. If we know what parishioners intend to share, we can plan effectively.
- An annual renewal supports continuation of the mission and vision of Pax Christi. Your generosity allows Pax Christi to support our faith community through worship, education, and hospitality.
- We can better care for our facilities when we know what's around the corner. With a 24-year old building, we will need to plan effectively for upcoming equipment needs, technology enhancements, and structural maintenance.
- With your gift, Pax Christi can continue its sustained commitment by giving at least 10% of our Parish's time, talent, and treasure to support social justice and outreach programs in our community and all over the world.
How much should I give?
- Gifts should be considered prayerfully.
- Gifts should be from the "first fruits," not what is left over after other obligations are met.
- Gifts should be given in proportion to the way you have been blessed by God.
- Figure out where your current giving is, and consider increasing it by 1%
- or more. To calculate your gift's percent of income, divide your gift by
- your income.
