Marriage Ministry
Pax Christi provides support for engaged couples through the PREPARE/ENRICH Marriage Mentor Ministry.
The PREPARE/ENRICH program helps to:
• Identify strengths of the couple and build new ones.
• Strengthen communication skills, including assertiveness and active listening.
• Resolve disagreements using a Ten-Step Model.
• Explore the couple relationship and Family-of-Origin using the Couple and Family Map.
• Develop a workable budget and a financial plan.
• Develop personal, couple and family goals.
Pax Christi has 24 married couples who have been prepared as facilitator couples in the parish. They journey with the engaged couples, meeting with them prior to their marriage to discuss the many aspects that comprises a married relationship.
