Pax Christi Catholic Community.
Register to join the community on any second Sunday of the month after Mass.
You may also stop by the parish office during weekly business hours to initiate the process.
Pax Christi values its members and invites active commitment and participation.
Pax Christi welcomes new members. First of all, Pax Christi wants to provide a home for all who come seeking a community of faith. As our parish purpose statement says, “Centering on sacramental worship and prayer, we will build an inclusive community based on forgiving, caring and bearing one another’s burdens.” Pax Christi is a resource for the faith journey of its members and it is committed to sharing its resources with all who hunger spiritually.
But Pax Christi also welcomes new members because they are important to its life and mission. New members bring new energies, new perspectives and personal talents that are needed for Pax Christi to continue to renew itself and develop its capacity for ministry. Our parish mission statement challenges us, “Acknowledging our common spiritual hunger in a culture that often fails to satisfy our most basic cravings, our mission is to gather as a eucharistic community for essential nourishment, which energizes and compels us to deepen our faith, to connect with one another, and to make a profound commitment to justice.” We are called to live our faith inside out in partnership with others. We are invited to share our God-given gifts in freedom and generosity so the work of the gospel can continue in this time and place.
Perhaps you have visited our community already and have begun to feel that this is home. Or maybe you are looking at Pax Christi for the first time. We welcome you. Come to visit as often as you want. If you are ready to join our community, you can take the first step on the second Sunday of the month when we register new members after all the weekend liturgies. As an alternative, you may stop in the parish office during the week to initiate the process. Following your formal registration, we will continue to provide you information on the community, we will connect you to its people and programs, and we will offer you opportunities to participate actively in its life and ministry. When you have had a chance to experience your membership, we will invite you to a dinner celebration for new members held quarterly.
